greetings.
Last week was the half term holidays, so Peter and my parents went away to Lancaster for a week's holiday. I am still doing placement, so to have a bit of company went to spend the week with Jonney and Moni. Staying in their house is good for the following reasons:
1. Snacks. These are situated at various points throughout the household, and include things like biscuits, German funky stuff, sweets and nuts, depending on the room. These are a comfort to have in close proximety when stressing over an essay that has to be in the next morning.
2. Dinners. Lovely food from a variety of diffent countries. Very nice. I remember Moni, just before serving a beautiful meal, saying 'If you don't like this, I can make some macaroni cheese'. I laughed at the preposterousnessness of it all. It seemed like the appropriate thing to do at the time. :)
3. Film nights. Oh yeah, especially with a nice projector to spice it up. These are accomanied by drinks of hot choclate and baileys...and more snacks. Life is good.
4. Hot chocolate. Please refer to above.
5. Hamster falling down the stairs in the ball. Always funny. This is a frequent event in their household as they 'forget' to close the basment door. This must give the hamster a bit of a buzz or something... Jonney and Moni were commenting about her getting a bit slow and uncoordinated in her movements. Maybe you could write your suggestions in the comments box bellow.
6. that's all..
Oh yeah! - and the company. Always a plus. :)
On friday I went up to Lancaster to spend the weekend there with the family. The hotel and area that they were staying in was really pretty and situated in the country, maybe 10 minutes from Lancaster. However, it was not quite as serene as it sounds. There were ducks outside. The annoying kind, that enjoyed being a bit vocal in the night. we should have eaten them or something. Apart from that, it was a most triumphant weekend and we were able to look around Lancaster castle go on a lovely walk and generally have a good laugh. FAnTAstic!
That is all from me now. I'm going to bed now (I've got to get up tomorrow)
