G'day!

Thanks to all of you who have prayed for our mission week. Nick Howard was our guest speaker. We had lunchbars and talks each afternoon and also talks in the evenings. The afternoon talks were focussing on issues like 'What did Mohammed say about Jesus?', 'What does the Holocost tell us about God?' and 'How can a loving God send people to Hell?'. In the evenings there were talks on when Jesus met different people with various problems. The lunchbars were more well attended, probably because of the free food :). There were a number of muslims, atheists and 'unsures' that came along, which was great. Nick shared the gospel very plainly but with such graciousness and humility. There were questiontimes following these, which sometimes went on for a while (once 50mins!). Many of the Chrisitian Union were able to share their faith with those who came along, which was wonderful. A number of people have been caused to carefully consider spiritual matters, so pray for them as these things are still fresh in their minds. Pray earnestly that people will turn to Jesus and be saved. What a terrible thing it would be if these people heard the gospel so clearly and did nothing about it. Please pray also for the people who have signed up for the Christianity explored course (about 15).

On the weekend Jonney and I went over to blackpool and attended Agape national student conference. It was a good time and there was some good teaching too. I especially appreciated the seminars. During the weekend we went out in twos (all 3-400 of us) to do evangelism in Liverpool and Manchester. One person came to faith in Christ and many others heard the gospel. Praise God! In the picture you can see Jonney talking to Phil and Ceri Keates. It was lovely to see them again as I haven't met up with them in ages!

Well, that is a bit of what has been happening here lately. On friday I am doing my dissertation research and facilitating a focus group, which should be interesting and hopefully a bit of fun too :). There is lots more, but I want to save that for a bit later. May you grow in love and faith this week. God bless you. I look forward to seeing you all again.
